Norrøna to Open First U.S. Brand Center in Boulder, Colorado
Coming Spring 2019, Norwegian brand’s first U.S. location builds on history of retail excellence, growing interests among American consumers
DENVER (January 23, 2019) — Norrøna, the four-season Norwegian outdoor brand renowned for its premium, sustainably built outerwear, will open a brand store in Boulder, Colorado, during the H1 of 2019. Located along the walkable Pearl Street Mall, Norrøna Boulder will feature the brand’s full assortment of technical outerwear, an apparel repair center, a community gathering space, and an espresso bar.
“Boulder’s passionate outdoor community and world-class natural playground make it the obvious home for Norrøna’s first U.S. brand store,” says U.S. Sales Manager Adam Chamberlain. “Whether it’s to enjoy a post-run coffee, attend a community event or simply browse our collection, we hope visitors leave with a better understanding of Norrøna’s commitment to quality, the environment and the communities in which it operates.”
While the Pearl Street Concept Store will be Norrøna’s first U.S. retail location, the brand currently operates a network of over 20 shops globally, including flagship stores in Oslo, Norway, and Stockholm, Sweden; pro shops in Chamonix, France, and Åre, Sweden; and concept stores across Scandinavia and western Europe. Through the performance of this owned-retail network—which earned Norrøna the 2018 Retailer of the Year award at Virke's Trade Conference in Oslo—Norrøna has demonstrated that branded retail helps drive regional brand awareness and sales for nearby wholesale partners.
